Privacy Policy
Last updated 2 November 2026
This policy covers the NEPSE Analysis Android app (package com.nepse.app) and the website at nepseanalysis.com. NEPSE Analysis shows prices, charts, news and other public market data for the Nepal Stock Exchange. It is an independent product and is not affiliated with the Nepal Stock Exchange.
What we collect
You can read all market data without an account. We collect the following only when you use the features that need it.
If you sign in with Google
- Your Google account's email address, name, profile picture link, and Google account identifier, which Google gives us when you sign in. We never see your Google password.
- Your number-format preference (for example NPR or USD, lakh or million).
What you create in the app
- Your watchlist: the stocks you add and their order. If you enter a buy price, share count or note for a watchlist stock while signed in, that is stored on your account too.
- Price alerts you set, and the notifications we send you.
- Comments, replies and reactions you post on stock pages, and any reports or blocks you make. Comments are public to other users of the app, under your display name and picture.
From your device
- A push-notification token for your phone, its platform (Android or iOS), the app version, and when it was last active. We use these to deliver the notifications you asked for.
- Holdings you enter on the Holdings screen, and watchlist details you enter while signed out, stay on your phone and are not sent to us.
Automatically, on our servers
- Standard request logs, including your IP address, used to keep the service secure and to limit abuse. Our traffic passes through Cloudflare.
- Usage analytics, collected via PostHog on the website and in the app: which pages and screens are opened and for how long, which features you use (for example adding a stock to your watchlist or posting a comment, but never what you wrote), the platform (web, Android or iOS), and error and crash reports. They are tied to a random identifier, not to your name or email; in the app, when you are signed in, they are linked to your account's internal ID only. We do not record your screen or your taps.
We do not collect your location, contacts, photos, microphone or camera data. The app has no advertising and no advertising or tracking SDKs. The website shows ads, described below.
Advertising on the website
The website shows ads served by Google AdSense, labelled “Advertisement”.
- Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website or other websites.
- Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this site and/or other sites on the Internet.
- You may opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google's Ads Settings. You can also opt out of some third-party vendors' use of cookies for personalised advertising at aboutads.info.
- How Google uses information from sites that use its services is explained at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
Where the law requires it (for example in the European Economic Area, the UK and Switzerland), you are asked for consent before personalised ads are shown. We do not give Google your account details, watchlist or anything else you enter.
How we use it
- To sign you in and keep your watchlist, alerts and preferences across your devices.
- To send price alerts and other notifications you have enabled.
- To show comments and moderate them (reports, blocks and removing abusive accounts).
- To keep the service secure, fix faults and prevent abuse.
We do not sell your personal data and we do not use it for advertising. The ads on the website are chosen by Google, as described above.
Who else handles it
- Google verifies your identity when you sign in.
- Expo (and, on Android, Google's Firebase Cloud Messaging) delivers push notifications. They receive your push token and the notification text.
- Cloudflare routes and protects traffic to our servers.
- PostHog (hosted in the EU) stores the usage analytics and error reports described above.
- Google AdSense serves the ads on the website and sets its own advertising cookies, as described under Advertising on the website.
Our own servers store the account data described above. We may disclose data if the law requires it.
How long we keep it
Account data is kept until you delete your account. Deleting your account removes your profile, watchlist, price alerts, notifications, comments, reactions, reports and blocks. The push token of the phone you used stays in our records, no longer linked to you, until it stops working or is removed. Server logs are kept for a short period for security. Details of how to delete your account are on the delete account page.
Your choices
- You can use the app without signing in. Signed out, your watchlist stays on your phone.
- You can turn notifications off in your phone's settings at any time.
- You can ask us for a copy of your data, or to correct or delete it, by emailing us.
Security
Traffic to and from the app uses HTTPS, and your sign-in session is stored in your phone's secure storage. No system is perfectly secure, but we limit access to your data to what running the service requires.
Children
The service is not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country), and we do not knowingly collect their data. If you believe a child has given us data, email us and we will delete it.
Not financial advice
Market data may be delayed or incomplete. Nothing in the app or on this site is investment advice.
Changes and contact
If we change this policy we will update the date above, and for significant changes we will tell you in the app. Questions or requests: [email protected].
