Mabilung Energy Limited (NEPSE: MABEL) is a hydroelectric power generation company in Nepal developing run-of-river hydropower projects. The company operates the Upper Piluwakhola-3 Hydroelectric Project, a 4.95 MW run-of-river facility located on the Piluwa Khola river in Sankhuwasabha district, Koshi Province, Nepal. The project features a gross head of 128 meters and design discharge of 5.02 cubic meters per second, with an expected annual generation of approximately 28.417 gigawatt-hours. The company has secured a 30-year Power Purchase Agreement with Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA) under a take-or-pay modality for the project's entire installed capacity. The Upper Piluwakhola-3 project was approximately 99% complete as of mid-June 2025, with management targeting commercial operation by June 2025. The project is financed through debt from Laxmi Bank and Machhapuchhre Bank. The company was established in 2014 and converted to a public limited company in 2021, with public shareholders including Asian Life Insurance Company Limited, Guheswori Merchant Banking and Finance Limited, and Trust Energy Private Limited.
