Rastriya Beema Company Limited (NEPSE: RBCL) is Nepal's only government-owned non-life insurance company, providing comprehensive insurance coverage to government ministries, public institutions, private businesses, and the general public. The company operates across ten primary insurance lines: motor vehicle insurance (including motorcycle, private vehicle, and commercial vehicle coverage); property insurance covering fire, lightning, earthquake, and weather-related damage; marine insurance for shipping and cargo losses; aviation insurance; engineering insurance for construction-related accidents; health and medical insurance; agriculture and livestock insurance, with 80 percent subsidy from the Government of Nepal for crop protection; travel medical insurance; micro-insurance; and miscellaneous specialized coverage. As the sole state-owned general insurance company in Nepal, RBCL plays a vital role in managing insurance risks across both public and private sectors. The company was founded in 1967 and is headquartered in Kathmandu, Nepal.
