Sanima Mai Hydropower Ltd.

Sanima Mai Hydropower Limited (NEPSE: SHPC) is a hydropower generation company in Nepal that develops and operates run-of-the-river hydroelectric power projects. The company owns and operates two hydropower projects: the Mai Hydropower Project (MHP) with an installed capacity of 22 MW and the Mai Cascade Hydropower Project (MCHP) with an installed capacity of 7 MW, both located on the Mai Khola river in Ilam district. Both projects sell their electricity to the Nepal Electricity Authority under power purchase agreements. The Mai Hydropower Project commenced commercial operations in February 2015 with annual energy generation of approximately 128.298 gigawatt-hours, while the Mai Cascade Hydropower Project, which utilizes tail water from MHP, began operations in February 2016 with annual generation of approximately 38.422 gigawatt-hours. Combined, the two projects have an installed capacity of 29 MW. The company was incorporated in 2008 and is headquartered in Kathmandu, Nepal.
